Overview

Audra is an offline-first iPhone client for your own AudiobookShelf server. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data Audra collects, stores, and shares.

Data Collection

Audra does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:

• No analytics or usage tracking
• No crash reporting to third parties
• No advertising or ad identifiers
• No third-party SDKs
• No account with us — Audra has no servers of its own

Data Stored on Your Device

Audra stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Server configuration — your AudiobookShelf server address and HTTPS preference (stored in UserDefaults)
• Authentication token — the session token for your AudiobookShelf account (stored in the iOS Keychain)
• Downloaded media — the audiobooks and podcast episodes you choose to download, for offline playback
• Playback progress & preferences — your position in each item and your library/playback settings (stored on device)

iCloud Backup

So your listening position survives reinstalling the app or moving to a new device, Audra mirrors your playback progress to your own private iCloud account (Apple's key-value storage). This data lives in your personal iCloud and is not accessible to Ariane Apps. If you are not signed in to iCloud, this simply does nothing.

Network Communication

Audra connects only to the services needed to do its job, and never sends your data to us:

• Your AudiobookShelf server — the server you configure, to browse, download, and read your library. Communication happens over your own network or a connection you set up.
• Apple's iTunes Search API and public podcast feeds — only when you use the Podcasts tab to search for and download public podcasts (which are not on your AudiobookShelf server). This contacts Apple and the podcast's own feed/media hosts to fetch listings, episodes, and artwork.

No data is sent to Ariane Apps or any analytics or advertising service.

Children's Privacy

Audra does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
