Overview
Ariane is a remote control client for aria2 download servers. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data Ariane collects, stores, and shares.
Data Collection
Ariane does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No crash reporting to third parties
- No advertising or ad identifiers
- No third-party SDKs
Data Stored on Your Device
Ariane stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Server configuration — hostname, port, and HTTPS preference (stored in UserDefaults)
- Authentication token — your aria2 RPC secret token (stored in iOS Keychain)
- Polling interval — your preferred refresh rate (stored in UserDefaults)
This data never leaves your device. It is used solely to connect to your own aria2 server.
Network Communication
Ariane communicates exclusively with the aria2 server you configure. All communication happens over your local network or via a connection you set up. No data is sent to Ariane Apps or any third party.
Local Notifications
Ariane may send local notifications to inform you when downloads complete. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external push notification service.
Children's Privacy
Ariane does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, the changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
